The Story of Still Standing Welcome to words: I am still standing. This site is more than a personal account; it is a monument to faith, resilience, and a profound mission calling for God that compels me to seek and share the truth. The Foundation: Love, Faith, and the Pines My purpose is deeply tied to a historical place: Point of the Pines. We have fought diligently to protect this vital geological landmark and ensure its true heritage remains untainted, especially against efforts to rename it to something misleading like "Murder Point." My statement, "I am still standing," is rooted in that fight and my faith. That strength comes from my deepest foundation: my mother, Kathleen "Sweetness" Bosarge. Her unconditional love was the most important gift I ever received—a love she beautifully expressed in a poem written on a huge two-and-a-half-foot poster board propped against our Christmas tree in 1992. That poem and her life are the spiritual bedrock of everything I do. My Testimony and Vision The journey that led me here was forged in fire. While confined and separated from those I loved, I fell into deep thought. God was moving on me, and I remembered a solemn vow I made to Him in the bathroom the day before I went away: a prayer for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding so I could help Him. In that moment, I made the decision and my vision was given to me: Still Standing Christianity, a faith built purely on love, peace, hope, joy, and uplifting one another. From that day on, my answer to how I was doing was always: "I'm still standing." This is also the site of miracles. Right here at the Point of the Pines, my sister and I saw what looked like Jesus in the clouds back in 1980, a holy moment forever marked by tree roots that came up right where we lay. The Creative Work of This Mission This WordPress site is where I gather and share the fruits of this calling. Here, I am working to document and preserve: * Original Poetry: Including my poem "Just Time" (written in confinement) and the powerful poem my mother wrote, which I am proud to share and mark as the foundation of my work. * Meaningful Imagery: The curated gallery of powerful images we created together—visual pieces that tell the authentic story of the Point of the Pines and the "Still Standing" spirit (like the Bottle Tree and Oyster Roots). * My Full Testimony: The complete story of my journey, which underpins the mission. This page is a living document of my faith, my love for my mother, my fight for my heritage, and my unwavering belief that with God, all things are possible. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
